Recent HappeningsDuring the 2010 ANZAC long weekend Cate and Guy visited the Snowy Mountains in Southern NSW. They spent Saturday night at Crackenback and ANZAC Day morning was cold and clear. They went up the chairlift at Thredbo, and walked past this rocky ridge to the Mount Kosciuszko lookout. It was minus five degrees C and they never had enough warm clothes!
They spent Sunday night in Jindabyne.
The Jindabyne Poplar tree and morning sky were beautiful on Monday - there had been some rain overnight. There was some light snow on parts of the mountains in the morning. The strange light around the sun was captured on Guy's iPhone. Water down the hill in pipes, power up the hill in cables - Murray One Power Station. The travellers got home late on Monday evening after stopping in at QandA and listening to a great debate on ideas about the ANZAC myth? < Back to Cheales Home Page |
